Dornstedt is located southwest of Halle ( Saale).

History

In a resulting 881-899 Directory of tithing of Hersfeld Monastery Dornstedt first mentioned as requiring a tenth place in the frieze Dornstat field in a document.

Until the incorporation by Teutschenthal on 1 January 2010 Dornstedt was an independent municipality in the administrative community dignity / Salza with the appropriate district Asendorf. Last Mayor Dornstedts was Selma Brömme.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 5 March 1998 by the regional council hall.
