Dörpling
Dörpling is a municipality in the north of the circle Dithmar in Schleswig -Holstein.
Geography and transport
The village is located about 17 km northeast of the county town of Heath, 4 km east of Tellingstedt near the Eider to the county road 46 in the northern Dithmar and goes almost seamlessly into the community PAHLEN.
The municipality is located in the Eider- Treene-Sorge - lowland
History
Around the year 1320 Dörpling was first mentioned.
In the town was a stop on the narrow-gauge railway of the circle Dithmar.
The Höveder Mill, a water mill, which belongs to the municipality and the end of the 19th century was canceled, should have Klaus Groth inspiration for a story.
Policy
Since the local elections of 2013, the voters Community WGD has all nine seats in the municipal council.
Economy and infrastructure
From 1905 to 1937, the town had a railway connection with the circular path Norderdithmarschen.
