Downriver Stars

The Downriver Stars were an American ice hockey franchise of the All- American Hockey League from Trenton, Michigan.

History

The Downriver stars took to the 1986/87 season as one of five founding members of the match operation in the All-American Hockey League. In its premiere season, the Stars finished second in the regular season. For the following season the team changed for marketing reasons its name to Michigan Stars, but could not raise the necessary funds to maintain the game operation, so the team on November 30, 1987 ceased the operation of gambling and the franchise was subsequently dissolved.
