Dragonheart -. A new beginning is an American fantasy film from 2000, and a sequel to the film Dragonheart from the year 1996 was directed by Doug Lefler.

Action

The occurring in the first movie knight Sir Bowen found in a cave an egg that was laid by the killed in the first movie dragon Draco. He brings it to a monastery. Twenty years later, the hatched from the egg dragon of Geoffrey, an orphanage and stable boys, discovered. Geoffrey tried the dragon adventures together to talk, but the dragon can not be on one.

Lord Osric of Crossley learns of the dragon. He believes that the dragon's heart will give him power. In the showdown, he turns into a dragon, but is killed by the young dragon and Geoffrey. In the fight Geoffrey is mortally wounded but gets from the young dragon a part of his heart, which brings him back to life.

Reviews

The lexicon of the International film criticized the " pretty simple tricks". The film was an " acceptable entertainment," which was highly commercially oriented.

Awards

The film received five nominations for the 2001 DVD Exclusive Award, one for Harry Van Gorcum. Good Shari Hartz was nominated for the 2002 Writers Guild of America Award.
