In Siliana (Tunisia ) Dräxlmaier manufactures wiring harnesses for premium classes of the German automotive industry. The 3000 workers ( mostly young women) get there a monthly wage of only 125 euros.

The company was founded in May 1958 by Lisa and Fritz Dräxlmaier to equip the Goggomobil Hans Glas GmbH with cable harnesses. The first factory hall was built in 1964.
