BW

The Dürnbach is an Upper Bavarian mountain stream, which flows into the Festenbach.

The sources of Dürnbachs lie on the northern slope below the nettle disc, the Holzer- Alm and Hunter Stiegl to about 1180 meters above sea level. N.N. The headwaters is also called Dürnbachlüß. Even before the Dürnbach leaves the forest, runs parallel to the creek, a forest road. The creek runs through grassland and partly swampy area south of the hamlet Schneiderhäusel. Just north of it opens on your left the Dicklohbächlein in the Dürnbach. In the course of Bach first of Kaltenbrunner Ecks flows north into the Darkwood, where it crosses the state road 2365. Between Dürnbach and Darkwood the creek crosses the railway tracks of the route Schaftlach -Tegernsee. After crossing the main road 318, the stream runs along State Road 2365 to the district of Gmund Festenbach to open there in the Festenbach.

In addition to the Dicklohbächlein the Dürnbach has several small tributaries. The Dürnbach is partially straightened and corrected.
