Dylan Ratigan

Dylan James Alexander Ratigan ( born April 19, 1972 in Saranac Lake, New York) is an American journalist and television presenter. Ratigan hosted the eponymous show, The Dylan Ratigan Show at the U.S. news channel MSNBC program.

Life and work

After schooling Ratigan studied at Union College in Schenectady (New York), where he earned a bachelor's degree in Political Economy.

In the 1990s Ratigan worked as a business correspondent for Bloomberg Television and as an editor of Finance at Bloomberg News Service. During his time at Bloomberg also he developed the program Morning Call, which he moderated at times. There were articles publications in newspapers like the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Miami Herald and the Chicago Tribune as well as contributions for ABC News.

2004 Ratigan won the Gerald Loeb Award for his coverage of the Enron scandal.

From 3 October 2005 to January 2007 Ratigan hosted the show On the Money in the specialized business news channel CNBC program. He also took over the show Bullseye, which he presented one and a half years. Later, he developed together with Susan Krakower the show Fast Money, which he presented on 21 June 2006 until his resignation on CNBC.

On 29 June 2009 Ratigan Morning Meeting received with a specially tailored and it broadcast in weekday breakfast program on MSNBC. At the turn of 2009/2010 he left the show to instead take over moderation of the eponymous Dylan Ratigan Show, MSNBC aired weekday afternoons. The show ran from 11 January 2010 to 22 June 2012.
