Dynamite Kid
Thomas Billington ( born December 5, 1958 in Golborne, Lancashire ), better known by his ring name Dynamite Kid, is a retired British professional wrestler.
Billington 's brother Bret " The Hitman" Hart, who was also wrestler. Davey Boy Smith, also a former wrestler, is the cousin Billington.
Career
Beginnings in Europe
Billington was trained by Billy Riley. Earlier in his career Billington appeared in Europe. He also appeared in the Austrian League Catch Wrestling Association.
Performances in America and Japan
In 1979 he joined the first time in Canada, at STAMPEDE Wrestling on. There he was trained by Stu Hart in the Hart Dungeon Submission. Henceforth, Billington stepped in Europe, Canada ( STAMPEDE wrestling) and Japan ( New Japan Pro Wrestling ( NJPW ) ) on. In NJPW, he won the WWF Junior Heavyweight Championship.
World Wrestling Federation
On August 29, 1984, he debuted in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE). There he formed with Davey Boy Smith, the tag team "The British Bulldogs ". 1985 Billington feuded with Smith against Nikolai Volkoff and The Iron Sheik. Later Billington and Smith fehdeten against "The Dream Team" ( Brutus Beefcake and Greg consisting of Valentine ). Of these, they won the WWF World Tag Team Championship. Towards the end of 1986 began Billington and Smith a feud against The Hart Foundation ( Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart ). On January 26, 1987 Billington, and Smith gave the WWF World Tag Team Championship from on "The Hart Foundation ". Later she fehdeten against Demolition. In December 1988 Billington left the WWF.
All Japan Pro Wrestling / Europe / Japan
On June 5, 1989 Billington debuted in All Japan Pro Wrestling ( AJPW ). In AJPW, he joined briefly with Smith again as "The British Bulldogs ". 1991 won Billington with Johnny Smith, the All Asia Tag Team Championship. In 1993, Billington AJPW again.
In 1994 he joined several times at All Star Wrestling in England. He also appeared in 1994 on several occasions in Germany with German Pro Wrestling.
On 10 October 1996 Billington played in Japan in Michinoku Pro Wrestling, his last match.
On November 23, 2013 it was announced by WWE that Billington had suffered several strokes.
