Eagle's minimal essential medium
Dulbecco 's Modified Eagle's medium, DMEM short, is a standard growth medium for cell cultures with a broad applicability for various human and animal cells. It is a variant of Eagle's Minimum Essential Medium ( EMEM ), but contains more nutrients than this. It was named after Renato Dulbecco and Harry Eagle.
