Eckhard I, Count of Scheyern

Ekkehard I of Scheyern ( † before May 11, 1091 ) was a son of Otto I of Scheyern. His mother can not be unambiguously assigned because Otto I of Scheyern with Haziga of Sulzbach ( widow of Count Herman of Kastl ) and was later married to an unknown daughter of the Count of Meginhardt Reichersbeuern, by Ekkehard However, there are no known birth dates.

Ekkehard I. bevogtete from 1074 and from 1082 Freising Weihenstephan.

Family

Ekkehard married Richgard of Krain - Orlamünde, a daughter of the Margrave of Carniola Udalrich - Orlamünde. The marriage produced three children:

  • Udalrich I of Scheyern (from 1130 Vogt of Freising )
  • Otto V of Scheyern (* 1083/1084; † August 4, 1156 )
  • Ekkehard II of Scheyern ( † after 1135 )
