Haziga of Diessen

Haziga ( Hadegunde ) of Diessen (* 1040, † August 1, 1104 ) was Countess of Scheyern.

Haziga was in his first marriage with Count Hermann of Kastl († January 27, 1056 ) married. In his second marriage, she married Count Otto I of Scheyern († December 4, 1078 ), which was also previously married.

The descent from Haziga is not clear. It is most often assumed to be daughter of Count Frederick II of Diessen, Domvogt of Regensburg.

She founded around 1076 a Benedictine monastery in Bavarian Zell, which was finally laid already in 1085 by the easel, 1104 at Petersberg near Dachau and 1119 after Scheyern.

Progeny

Haziga had with Hermann von Kastl probably two sons and a daughter:

  • Hermann II, Count of Cham ( † after 1071 )
  • Frederick I, Count of Kastl and Habsberg († November 10, 1103 )
  • Mathilde, married Rapoto III. Count in the upper Traungau († October 15, 1080 )

About the children with Otto I of Scheyern there is no uniqueness. Perhaps some children come from Otto's first marriage:

  • Ekkehard I, Count of Scheyern ( * after 1050, † 1091 or 1101)
  • Bernard I, Count of Scheyern († March 2, 1102 )
  • Arnold I, Count of Scheyern and Dachau ( † before March 26, 1123 )
  • Otto II, Count of Scheyern († October 31, 1121 or 1122)
