Eckkopf Tower

The Eckkopfturm is a 25 m high observation tower on the eponymous Eckkopf. It represents a tubular steel construction and was built in the summer of 1975 by the municipality Deidesheim. He has a viewing height of 541 m above sea level. Sea level and offers a good all-round visibility - to the west, south and north over the Palatinate Forest, to the east of the Upper Rhine Valley.

The tower had two previous buildings. The first was built in 1891 and collapsed in a storm in 1920, the second from 1973 was destroyed by fire. Near the tower there is a restaurant.
