The Eckkopf is a 516 m high mountain in the Palatinate Forest ( Rhineland -Palatinate). It is located about 3 km west of the Palatine town Deidesheim in the Haardt, such as the eastern edge of the Palatinate Forest is called. With the Eckkopfturm he has a 25 -meter high observation tower.

In the tower there is a restaurant that is open most weekends throughout the year and some holidays. It is managed by different clubs of the community association Durkheim, who are volunteers. The dates will be drawn from the community association among the clubs. Each club has to pay for the management rights for a fee, which is spent by the municipality for the maintenance of the restaurant.

On 27 February 1982, the then Federal President Karl Carstens visited the Eckkopf as part of its nationwide walks and has been done by his early prime minister of Rhineland -Palatinate, Bernhard Vogel, accompanied.
