École nationale de l'aviation civile

The ENAC ( Ecole nationale de l' aviation civile ) is a company incorporated in the summer of 1949 in Orly, near Paris, French National School of Civil Aviation ( General Aviation area ). Since 1968, it has its registered office and educational facilities in Toulouse, the French stronghold of aircraft and research in the field of aerospace. The ENAC is one of the four French aeronautics colleges and the only one that forms the air traffic controllers and aeronautical engineer of the French aviation authority DGAC, which corresponds to the German Federal Aviation Office. On 1 January 2011, the ENAC merged with the SEFA (Service d' Exploitation de la Formation Aéronautique ). Since this association ENAC is the largest European university for civil aviation.

Admission requirements and tuition fees

Students with French nationality need at least a high school for enrollment. For the training to become an engineer or air traffic controllers a previous study of four semesters is required to pass the inevitable entrance exam. For the student life to professional pilots, there are drastic restrictions on access.

Exchange students from abroad must contact to match the shooting conditions and scholarships to the foreign university where they are enrolled. Partner ENAC under the Erasmus and Pegasus - exchange programs are in Germany the universities of Aachen, Berlin, Braunschweig, Darmstadt, Munich and Stuttgart.

The course is free of charge. Students who undertake at baseline, seven years working as a guard for the DGAC are already paid during their studies.

Practical Information

In the campus of ENAC students are several dormitories, a cafeteria, a library, computer rooms, sports halls, tennis courts and a fitness room. Several clubs offer a cultural program.
