Ecologist Green Party of Mexico

The Partido Verde Ecologista de México ( Green Ecological Party of Mexico - EMPA) is a Mexican party, which mainly committed to environmental protection. She is a member of the Global Greens.

The Partido Verde Ecologista de México joined forces with the PRI as Alianza por México in the presidential election of 2006. The two parties together received 22.26 % of votes.

Criticism

The party has increasingly come under criticism because she entered a strategic alliance with the PRI, actively committed to the introduction of the death penalty and in the eyes of many Mexicans is opportunistic and power-hungry.
