Eddy Sidra

Eduard Mahir " Eddy" Sidra ( born February 20, 1989 in Khartoum, Sudan ) is a Canadian soccer player.

Club career

Sidra, whose parents came from Sudan, played from 2006 to 2007 for the College team of University of Alberta, the Alberta Golden Bears. Sidra won the Canadian College Championship with the Bears in 2006 and was team internally as the best rookie of the season ( "rookie" ) awarded. He was taught in the summer of 2007, a trial with German club Energie Cottbus which this finally received him the A- Youth - Team About a Scout. In 2008 he was appointed to the second team of Cottbus and completed 15 games in the Regionalliga Nord, from which it descended as Table. National

Sidra took with the Canadian U -20 team at the CONCACAF U-20 Championship 2009 in Trinidad and Tobago in part, missed with his team through the off in the first round but qualifying for the Junior World Championships in 2009 in Egypt. End of May 2009, he was first appointed to the Canadian national team and came on May 30 in a friendly match against Cyprus on his international debut.
