Eduards Višņakovs
Edward Višņakovs (Russian Эдуард Вишняков; born 10 May 1990 in Riga, Latvian SSR) is a Latvian football player who is under contract with the Polish club Widzew Łódź in the Ekstraklasa since 2013. His brother Alexey also plays there.
Career
Association
2009 Višņakovs received a contract with first division side FK Ventspils Latvia and was subsequently loaned out to FC Tranzit. In August 2009 he returned to Ventspils and signed a three-year contract until 2012. On 15 August 2009, he played for the first time in the jersey of FK Ventspils. On 1 October 2009 he made his debut in the UEFA Europa League, when he came on in the 88th minute in the match against SC Heerenveen for Edgars Gauračs.
On June 28, 2012 Višņakovs joined the Kazakh champion Shakhtar Karaganda. Be first game in the Kazakh Premjer league he played only three days later against Tobyl Qostanai when he came on in the 79th minute. In the UEFA Champions League, he joined on 17 July 2012 with Shakhtar against the Czech champions Slovan Liberec, against whom they suffered a 0-1 defeat.
In July 2013, he joined the Polish first division Widzew Łódź. There he wrote after a trial initially a one year contract. In his first outing against Zawisza Bydgoszcz ( 2-1 ) shot Višņakovs both goals for victory Łódź. Beginning in December 2013 he extended his contract until June 2016.
National
Edward Višņakovs was appointed first to a Latvian national team in 2008. On 27 March 2008 he made his debut for the Latvian U-19 national team in a friendly against Lithuania. On 11 August 2010 Višņakovs first played for the Latvian U- 21 team in a game against Russia.
Višņakovs came for the first time in the Latvian national football team in the qualifying matches for the Football World Cup in 2014 against Lithuania and Slovakia used when he came on in the 77th minute against Lithuania in the game on October 11, 2013 Māris Verpakovskis.
