Egelsee (Bubikon)

The Egelsee is surrounded by conservation areas, protected moorland lake and is located in the municipality of Bubikon in the Zurich Oberland.

Formation

During the Ice Age, about 12,000 years ago, the Rhine / Linth glaciers shaped the landscape in the Zurich Oberland. A side crawled from Lake Zurich up to the upper Glatt valley.
