Egger mountain

Egger Mountain (Walliser German: Eggerbärg ) is a municipality in the district of Brig in the German-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Parts of the municipality is part of the World Heritage Jungfrau -Aletsch- Bietschhorn UNESCO.

Geography

Egger Mountain is located in the German-speaking Upper Valais on the south side of the Bernese Alps on the northern side of the Rohnetals. The municipality consists of the villages Egger mountain and harrows, and the hamlets Finnu, Mühlackern and Wirmschland and different pastures. The neighboring communities of Egger mountains are in the north an exclave of Baltschieder, in the east Naters, in the south Lalden, southwest and northwest Baltschieder Ausserberg.
