Egypt national futsal team

The Egyptian Futsal national team is a representative selection of Egyptian futsal players. The team represents the Egyptian Football Association at international meetings. The team is the most successful Futsal team of Africa with three continental titles and four World Cup participations.

Performance in tournaments

Egypt won and hosted the first two sweeps of the African Cup of Nations and was also victorious at the third edition of 2004. In 2008 they lost in Libya in the final to the host with 3:4 after extra time.

With four World Cup participations Egypt is Africa's record attendance. The greatest success came in 2000, when they moved into the second round after beating Uruguay and Thailand. There they surprisingly won 6:4 against Russia and was close to the semi-finals. In the decisive match against Argentina a draw would have been enough, but Egypt lost almost 3:4.
