Ehsan Haddadi

Ehsan Hadidi (born 20 January 1985 in Tehran ) is an Iranian discus thrower.

In 2004, he won a gold medal at the World Junior Championships in Grosseto, Italy, and thus won the first Iranians a medal at an international athletics competition. In 2005 he won the Asian Championships in Incheon with a throw of 65.25 meters. In 2006, he won another gold medal at the Asian Games 2006 in Doha, Qatar. 2007 Asian champions again and at his first world championship is he reached the seventh place.

On 3 June 2008 Hadidi reached in Tallinn, Estonia, with a throw of 69.32 meters, his personal best, which simultaneously represents the current Asian record. In the subsequent 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, he retired in the first round of ( 61.34 m). In 2009 he again won the Asian Championships, as well as at the 2010 Asian Games in China.

At the World Athletics Championships in 2011 Hadidi won the bronze medal with a thrown width of 66.08 meters. In the same year was in Kobe for the fourth time Asian champions. At the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London, he won with a distance of 68.18 m behind Robert Harting the silver medal.
