Einheit Rudolstadt

The FC unit Rudolstadt is a German football club based in the district of Rudolstadt Saalfeld- Rudolstadt. Home of the 270 -member association is the Municipal Stadium in Heinepark.

Association

The FC unit Rudolstadt was founded on 11 November 1950 as BSG Einheit Rudolstadt. Already in 1957, succeeded in Rudolstadt together with steel Silbitz and chemistry Elsterberg the rise in the DDR II league. The then third- highest division of the GDR proved too large for the Ostthüringer than one number. After only one season, and motor unit Gotha had to join the league in the district.

In the following time unit Rudolstadt acted solely at the local level in the district of Gera, the club was mainly for junior training for FC Carl Zeiss Jena. Intermediate temporal descents in the district class followed the immediate promotion back to the District League Gera. After the turn merged in 1990 unit Rudolstadt with the football department of chemistry Schwarza to FC Rudolstadt / Schwarza. 1996 but was already back the separation of both clubs. While unit returned to the old name, the chemistry joined the successor SV 1883 Schwarza. In the season 2011/12 FC unit Rudolstadt occupied in the sechstklassigen Thuringia League 3rd place, which, based upon the waiver of the second-placed Eintracht Sondershausen, for promotion to the Oberliga Nordost.
