Ekaterina Bukina

Ekaterina Borisovna Bukina (Russian Екатерина Борисовна Букина; born May 5, 1987 in Moscow, Soviet Union) is a Russian wrestler. She won several medals at World and European Championships.

Career

Ekaterina Bukina began in Moscow in 2000 with the rings. It belongs to the Sports Club Vites Moscow. Their first coach was N.P. Ivanovna. Since 2005, she is coached by Valeri Tschupakow. She is a student, 1.75 meters tall and wrestles in the heaviest weight class in women's wrestling, the weight category to 72 kg body weight.

As early as junior Ages it was used in several international championships, winning several medals at these. In 2004, she arrived at the European Junior Championship ( Cadets ) in Albena / Bulgaria to 2nd place, 2006 she won at the Junior World Championship in Guatemala City a bronze medal and in 2007 she was at the Junior World Championships in Beijing Vice World Champion. She was defeated there in the finals against the Chinese Jiao Wang, the Beijing Olympic Champion was a year later.

2008 Ekaterina Bukina occupied in Thessaloniki at the Universities World Cup in the weight class up to 72 kg behind Stephany Lee of the United States 2nd place. In the Russian championship this year, they failed early Jelena Perepelkina and therefore had no chance to qualify for participation in the Olympic Games in Beijing.

In 2009 she was behind Jelena Perepelkina Russian Vice-Champion and in 2010 and 2011, she was Russian champion.

At the European Championships 2010 in Baku, she came here to victories over Dina Ivanova, Azerbaijan, Maider Unda Gonzales de Audicana, Spain and Marina Gastl, Austria. But in the final they defeated the strong Bulgarian Stanka Slatewa and became Vice - European Champion. Also at the World Cup 2010 in Moscow she succumbed after a win over Annabel Laure Ali of Cameroon in their second fight against Stanka Slatewa. But you could secure with victories over Sheherazade Bentorki from France and Jenny Fransson of Sweden has a bronze in the repechage.

In the 2011 European Championship in Dortmund won Ekaterina Bukina initially Maja Gunvor Erlandsen from Norway and then delivered in their second fight Stanka Slatewa a hard struggle they narrowly lost 1:2 with rounds at 3-3 points.
