El Bayadh Province

The El Bayadh Province (Arabic ولاية البيض, DMG Wilāyat al - bayad ) is a province ( wilaya ) in western Algeria.

The province is located in the transition zone from the Saharan Atlas to the Sahara desert and covers an area of ​​88,984 km ².

With around 277,000 inhabitants ( 2006 estimate ), it is very sparsely populated, the population density is about 3 inhabitants per square kilometer.

The provincial capital is El Bayadh.
