The Aeropuerto Internacional El Salvador is located about 40 km southeast of San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador, in the municipality of Comalapa near the Pacific coast. He is the aviation hub of the airline TACA and most important airport of El Salvador.

History

The Government of El Salvador in charge of the institution of public law CEPA with the construction of the airport. Construction began in 1976 and the opening was held in 1980.
