El Sueño de Morfeo
El Sueño de Morfeo ( Morpheus ' Dream ) is a Spanish pop / rock band from Asturias, Spain.
History
They formed in 2002 under the name XEMA. Their first album, Del interior, came in the same year in the trade, but was not very successful. Following the accession of Juan Luis Suárez 2003, she decided to change the name of the group in El Sueño de Morfeo, which was also the name of the second album, which was released in 2005. With the support of the production company Globo Media Musica, which allowed the band to occur also in some episodes of the series Los Serrano, the first single Nunca VOLVERA was in Spain a great success. This could confirm El Sueño de Morfeo with the second single Ojos de cielo.
On their first tour they performed at over 100 different locations in Spain; a total of over one million people have visited the concerts. For their second album, El Sueño de Morfeo platinum has received. On 17 April 2007 appeared in Spain, the studio album Nos vemos en el camino.
The singer Raquel del Rosario was married to the Formula 1 driver Fernando Alonso in 2006. In December 2011, the couple announced their separation.
1 March 2009 reported the Spanish newspaper La Nueva España, that the group is working on a new record. The guitarist David Feito confirmed this.
The group was appointed representative of Spain at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2013 from the transmitter TVE. In a decision of the Show pop-rock title Contigo hasta el final ( With You Until The End ) was chosen for it. The group reached the final of the ESC and took there the 25th and penultimate place.
