Eleftherios Poupakis

Eleftherios " Lefteris " Poupakis (Greek Ελευθέριος " Λευτέρης " Πουπάκης, born December 28, 1946) is a former Greek football goalkeeper.

Playing career

Poupakis began his career at Egaleo AO Athens 1966. 1974 he moved to Olympiakos Piraeus. In 1975, he won with the red and white the double in Greece. In 1979 he went to the Mediterranean island of Crete to OFI Crete. Three years later he returned to the mainland and signed for one year at Panathinaikos Athens. In 1983 he returned to Olympiakos. After just one year he went to Apollon Smyrnis and left it there end his career.

International Poupakis played six times for the Greek national team. He participated in the European Football Championship in 1980 partly in Italy and retired with the team as a group Last in the preliminaries of. He stood at a game on the court.
