Elegant Machinery
Elegant Machinery is a Swedish synthpop band that was founded in 1988 and received its name in 1989. Their music is characterized by old analog synthesizer sounds that are reminiscent of the 1980s.

Band History
1988 Richard founded Jomshof (born Johansson ) and Leslie Bayne a band a year later joined Robert Enforsen as the main singer to do so. 1989 were included among others, with the song " Safety In Mind " and "Little Sacrifice" with producer Jonas Warne Bring first demos. Inspired by the third album of Band Data, called not as originally planned pole position, but Elegant Machinery.
In 1990, the first single, " Safety in Mind" was published with a circulation of 500 copies and was sold out seven days later. The first tour started 1991. 1992 the first studio album " Degraded Faces " was recorded and released under the Swedish label Energy Rekords. From the title "Process" was released as a single. The single made it to number 5 on the Spanish charts and became the biggest commercial success of the band's history. Album and single were subsequently licensed to the Spanish record company Bol Records. Since 1992, Johan Malmgren permanent band member. In the summer of 1993 they took on their second studio album " Shattered Grounds". It was followed by a successful tour of Germany with the band SPOCK
1994 Leslie Bayne left the band. A number of concerts were given in Germany and Hungary, and released the single "Watching You". In 1996, the third, with Anders Eliasson ( a former member of the old synthpop band Page ) appeared produced studio album " Yesterday Man ". Followed by a tour of Germany and Sweden in 1997, it should be the best selling album of the band. In 1998, the band toured again in Germany. Together with Eskil Simonsson ( Covenant ), the album " A Decade of Thoughts", a kind of best-of- album was recorded. Also on Swedish television, the band recorded some performances. From the SEMA (Swedish Alternative Music Awards) 1998, the band won the " Best Live Act 1997 ".
In the same year she separated for personal reasons and because of problems with the record label.
Reunification
In the following years, despite the official separation of the world's few appearances. 2005 Elegant Machinery decided to make a comeback. The band played in 2006 an album, had appeared in Spain as well as the Wave -Gotik-Treffen in Leipzig. This was followed by concerts in Mexico as well as interviews in magazines and the Mexican television. In Germany, the band played two pieces from the new album, which have been improved and used as a demo. 2007 signed a contract Elegant Machinery on the German label Out of Line. 2008, the first single was after reunification, "Feel the Silence " published. The second single from the album is called " Move" and was published in the summer.
Resolution
Although the end of 2011 a new album was announced in April '11 announced that the band has disbanded due to differences again.
