Elkin Soto

Elkin Soto Jaramillo (* August 4, 1980 in Manizales ) is a Colombian football player. The midfielder with a strong left foot since 2004, A-National player for Colombia and plays since January 2007 for the first FSV Mainz 05

Association

Soto joined the 1999 season Atlético Nacional ( Medellin ) in his hometown for the club CD Once Caldas, where he became a regular player for the second year and apart from the seasons 2003 and 2004, only a few games missed. Soto won in 2004 with Once Caldas Copa Libertadores. The following World Cup final he lost with his club FC Porto on penalties.

For the 2006 season, the midfielder was loaned to the Ecuadorian top club Barcelona SC Guayaquil.

Sotos switch to Bundesliga 1 FSV Mainz 05 was accompanied by weeks of transfer disputes.
