Elvedin Džinić

Elvedin Džinić (born 25 August 1985 Zavidovići, SFR Yugoslavia today Bosnia and Herzegovina ) is a Slovenian football player. The defender is currently the Polish first division Zagłębie Lubin under contract.

Sports career

Džinić comes from the youth of the NK Maribor. During the season 2002 /03 he moved the first time in the cadre of professional team, but at first did not play. His debut in the League Slovenska Nogometna he celebrated only in the season 2004 / 05, when he was employed on 30 April 2005 as a substitute in the relegation round in the 1-3 defeat against FC Koper. After he became in the following season for a regular player, he also wore for the first time in the scoresheet when he takes on 11 September 1995, next to Damjan Ošlaj with a goal of Miran Burgič met the goal in a 2-1 win against ND Gorica.

In the following seasons Džinić helped that his club established in the front league area. In the season 2008/ 09 he ran in 27 regular season games for the club on and helped with six goals this season on the side of Dejan Školnik, Marcos Morales Tavares, Rene Mihelič, and Zoran Pavlovich for the eighth league title in club history. His achievements honored coach Matjaž Kek, who first nominated him in the fall of 2009 for the national team. So he sat the qualifying match for the World Cup 2010 against Poland and in the play-off first leg against Russia on the bench, but was not used in each case. In May 2010, he was next to Aleksandar Rajčevič, Dare Vršič and Suad Filekovič as one of four under contract in their home country players to complete 30 player preliminary squad for the tournament. Ultimately, he was also the final squad of the Slovenian national team, but was not at the tournament are used. With the NK Maribor he won two championships, one time the National Cup and the Supercup. In 2011 he moved to Belgium to Royal Charleroi and was able to complete in 2.5 years 65 league games in which he scored 4 goals. For the 2013/2014 season he moved to Botev Plovdiv Bulgaria. After the first round he left the club, however, again in the direction of Poland, where he signed with Zagłębie Lubin until the end of the season.
