Emirdağ is a town and a district of the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar. The town lies about 60 kilometers northeast of the provincial capital of Afyonkarahisar.

The district is located in the northeast of the province. It is bordered to the south by Sultandagi and Bolvadin, on the west by Bayat, on the north by the province of Eskişehir and on the east by the province of Konya. It is 2048 square kilometers, the largest county in the province. The town lies on the road D -675, which connects Çay in the south with the E-90 in the north to Eskişehir. The coming of Izmir and further by Sivrihisar Europe Road 96 crosses the county from southwest to northeast, about ten kilometers north of the county seat. To the south is part of the eponymous mountain range Emir Dagi with the 2281 meter high Başyurt Tepesi.

Attractions

About ten kilometers east of the village Hisarköy Emirdağ lie the ruins of the Byzantine city Amorion.
