Emma Amos (actress)

Emma Amos ( born August 18, 1967 in Newcastle -under- Lyme) is a British actress.

Life and achievements

Amos was taught in the years 1985-1989 at the Royal College of Music. She made her debut as an actress in a small supporting role alongside Hugh Grant and Elizabeth Hurley in the film drama Rowing in the Wind from the year 1988. In the Oscar-winning film drama Secrets and Lies (1996 ), she played one of the major roles. In the film drama Firelight (1997) she appeared alongside Sophie Marceau and Stephen Dillane in a larger role.

In the film drama The Tribe (1998 ), in which a London residential community is shown, Amos played alongside Joely Richardson, Jeremy Northam and Anna Friel. In the following years she took over just as guest roles in television series, as well as larger roles in the series The Last Detective, in which she had seen in the years 2003 to 2007. In addition, she played supporting roles in films such as the comedy Bridget Jones - chocolate for breakfast (2001) with Renée Zellweger, as well as roles in numerous plays. In the play The Servant of the year 2001, she played the role of the girlfriend of the main character embodied by Jack Davenport.

Amos is married to actor Jonathan Coy.
