Emmanuel Hiel

Emmanuel Hiel ( born May 31, 1834 in Sint- Gillis- bij- Dendermonde, today city of Dendermonde, Belgium, † August 27 1899 in Schaerbeek, Belgium) was a Flemish poet.

Life

Hiel was only head of a cotton mill, then successively booksellers and customs officers, then held a post in the Ministry of the Interior and was a professor of declamation at the Conservatory of Music and librarian at the Museum of Industry in Brussels.
