Enköping Municipality

Enköping is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Uppsala County and the historic province of Uppland. The main town of the municipality is Enköping.

Geography

The municipality is situated on the northern shore of Lake Mälaren. Through them, the road leads Europe 18 from Stockholm to Västerås.

History

Close to the main town there is a very well-preserved rock paintings from the Bronze Age.
