Epsom and Ewell

Epsom and Ewell is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Surrey in England. It consists of the two cities Epsom ( administrative seat ) and Ewell, both of which lie on the border with Greater London. Held every year on the Epsom Downs race course horse racing derby.

The Urban District was built in 1894 and was called to 1934 Epsom. 1934 was converted into a municipal borough. 1965 and 1974 there were plans to make Epsom and Ewell a borough of Greater London, but the borders remained unchanged to this day.
