Eren Güngör ( born April 2, 1988 in Bergama, Turkey) is a Turkish football player.
Career
Association
Güngör began his career at Çamdibigüçu. In 2003, he joined the youth team of Altay Izmir. He remained there for three years and was then appointed to the first team. After his contract expired at the end of the season 2007/ 08, Güngör signed a contract with the first division club Kayserispor.
Here he immediately became defensive regulars. He provided here consistent performances and played in the friendlies against Austria, Azerbaijan and France for the Turkish national team. He he was injured in a preseason game of his club Kayserispor and fell for more than a year.
Eren Güngör began before the 2010/11 season under new coach Shota Arveladze again with the fitness and strength training, but still fell almost the entire season off. Only in a single League encounter he came to a stake. For the 2011/12 season but he answered back and took immediately a regular place. He completed 31 of 34 league matches and is thus one of the players seiens teams the most missions had.
After mutual agreement with the club's management he dissolved the summer of 2013 on his contract and left Kayserispor. A few days after his departure, his move to Premier League rivals Kardemir Karabükspor was announced. The main reason for this change was the fact that Tolunay Kafka, his coach, now coached from his time at Kayserispor Karabükspor.
National
Güngör made his first game and goal for Turkey U21 on 21 November 2007 against Sweden. A year later, on 19 November 2008 against Austria, he made his debut for Turkey. Eren Güngör was nominated for the World Cup qualifier against Spain on 28 March 2009 in the Turkish national team.
Due to constant good performances for Kayserispor he was after three years of abstinence for the World Cup 2014 qualifiers against the Dutch and the Estonian national re-nominated in the national squad. He was nominated in 2012 for a friendship encounters before, but without permanent use.
