Eric Braeden

Eric Braeden ( born April 3, 1941 in Bredenbek; actually Hans -Jörg Gudegast ) is a German - American actor.

Life

Braeden grew up as the son of the mayor in the small town Bredenbek between Kiel and Rendsburg in Schleswig -Holstein. Back in 1959, Braeden emigrated to the United States, where he was known primarily as a soap opera actor by the series " Young and the Restless " (orig. "The Young and The Restless "). In 1997, Braeden for his services to television Emmy Award. Overall, Braeden starred in over 120 television and film productions, including 1969 in " Colossus " in 1971 in " Escape from the Planet of the Apes" and 1997 in " Titanic."

In 1989, Braeden the German -American Cultural Society, for which Braeden in 1992 was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, 2003, the Order of Merit, First Class and 2005, the Federal Cross of Merit. Since 1998, Braeden honorary citizen of his home town Bredenbek is ( Rendsburg- Eckernförde ) in Schleswig -Holstein.

On 20 July 2007 he was in honor at 7021 Hollywood Blvd. the 2342nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame relocated.
