Eric Honegger

Eric Antoine Pierre Honegger ( born April 29, 1946 in Zurich; homeland justified in Rüschlikon and fish Thal ) is a Swiss politician ( FDP) and managers.

Life

Eric Honegger grew up as the son of the future Federal Fritz Honegger in Rüschlikon. He graduated in 1964 Matura at the Cantonal School Freudenberg in Zurich. Subsequently, he studied history and journalism at the University of Zurich and received his doctorate in 1976.

From 1975 to 1979, Honegger party secretary of the FDP of the city and the canton of Zurich. From 1980 to 1981 he worked at the Society for the Promotion of the Swiss economy (now part of Economiesuisse ). He was from 1982 to 1987 Director of the Swiss Institute of Graphic Company ( SVGU, today the Swiss Association for Visual Communication, Viscom ).

From 1974 to 1978 he was a member of the municipal council of Rüschlikon. From 1979 to 1987 he was a member of the Zurich Cantonal Council. In 1987 he was elected to the Governing Council, where he served until 1999, and he presided in the official 1993/ 94 and 1998/99. He led the first Baudirektion, from 1991, the Finance Office.

Honegger was already in 1993 a member of the Board of SAirGroup. After his resignation as a council, he was Executive Vice Chairman of the Board of SAirGroup and from 1 May 2000 as the successor to Hannes Goetz Chairman. In January 2001, he also assumed the Executive Committee SAirGroup. In March 2001 he was deposed by the Board and replaced by Mario Corti. In addition, Honegger was until 2001 a member of the Board of Directors of UBS and Chairman of the Board of the NZZ.

The prosecutor of the canton of Zurich raised in March 2006 in connection with the Swissair bankruptcy case against Honegger and another 18 people. Honegger was accused of dishonesty and fraud. The District Court Bülach spoke to him on 7 June 2007 of all charges free. He received a compensation of CHF 99'625 process. The prosecutor withdrew the judgment no further; so is the acquittal judgment. Pending are several civil actions.

Honegger is the managing director of the company Sophocles GmbH, which provides services and consulting in the area of corporate governance ( corporate management and supervisory ) thereof. He also has other offices.

Honegger is married. He announced to move the end of 2012 to the Austrian besiegers village in Burgenland, where he and his wife had bought a similar monastery farm. After the renovation the couple wants it to open in 2013 as a guest house that includes three apartments.
