Erich Maechler

Erich Maechler (* September 24, 1960 in High Village, Canton of Lucerne ) is a Swiss former racing cyclist.

Erich Maechler was a professional racing car driver, 1982 to 1996. His most successful year was 1987 when he was six days wore the yellow jersey in the Tour de France and won the race Milan - Sanremo. Overall, Maechler started nine times in the "tour".

1982 and 1992 won the Tour de Berne Maechler and 1988 Tirreno- Adriatico, multiple stages and the Tour de Suisse. In 1984 he became Swiss national road champion.

Today Mächler in Kriens the bike shop "Wheels and More".
