Ernest Leonard Johnson

Ernest Leonard Johnson ( † ca 1977) was a South African astronomer.

Johnson worked at the Union Observatory, and went there in 1956 to retire. He discovered four comets, including periodic comets named after him 48P/Johnson, as well as the comet C/1935 A1, C/1948 R1, C/1949 K1.

Johnson also discovered 18 asteroids.
