Erpolzheim
Erpolzheim is a municipality in the district of Bad Durkheim in Rhineland- Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Freinsheim. Erpolzheim is a nationally recognized tourist.

Geographical location
The municipality is located in the Palatinate on the German Wine Route.
History
In 781 the town was first mentioned in documents as Erbholfesheim.

The local council in Erpolzheim consists of 16 council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 of personalized proportional representation, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

- Former railway station ( Bahnhofstrasse 72); zweieinhalbgeschossiger, late classical rectangular building, dating from 1873
- Former Town Hall (main road 23); Late Baroque Walmdachbau referred, 1752; War memorial plaque 1914/18
- Late Baroque residence (main road 40); in a new building as spoils which you access the press-house, called 1756
- Former Protestant parsonage (main road 48); handsome, late Baroque Krüppelwalmdachbau referred, in 1754, architect Franz Wilhelm Rabaliatti; Renaissance courtyard gate called 1613
- Protestant Church (main road 50); late classical hall building from the year 1848/49, architect David Young and Edward Hatzel; is in the retaining wall of the war memorial of the two world wars of 1967
- Former school building ( 52 Main Street ); late classical stucco building designated in 1899, architect steel

Regular events
- Culinary tour of fruit, asparagus and wine: a weekend in May are set up along a 6.5 km circular route amidst the flowering fruit trees and vines serving numerous organizations providing Erpolzheimer wines, homemade asparagus dishes and other specialties.
- Wine Kerwe: every year on the last weekend in August.
- Erpolzheimer Martin Market: every November, artists their works in the open courtyards.

Erpolzheim is on the single track Neustadt on the Wine Road - Bad Durkheim - Freinsheim - green town and has a breakpoint with a beautiful station building which, however, is now used as a residential building. In the center is located at the height of the church is a bus stop which is served by various buses of the BRN line 453

The lapwing, called Giwick, is the mascot of Erpolzheim.
