Ethiopian Catholic Eparchy of Barentu

Located in Eritrea Eparchy Barentu is a diocese ( eparchy ) of the Ethiopian Catholic Church, which has been in union with the Roman Catholic Church. On 21 December 1995, it was taken from the territory of the Eparchy of Asmara. The Eparchy belongs to the Ecclesiastical Province of Addis Ababa.
