Extracts from the Album A Hard Day 's Night (German: selection from the album A Hard Day 's Night ') is a published end of 1964 EP by the British rock band The Beatles. It was the seventh EP of The Beatles, which was released on Parlophone (catalog number GEP 8924 ). All four tracks of the EP are from the Album A Hard Day 's Night. The EP was released only in mono.
Background
The exact date of the release of the EP Extracts from the Album A Hard Day 's Night is unclear. In many older sources November 6, 1964 is called, so just two days after the publication of the previous EP Extracts from the Film A Hard Day 's Night, which would have been economically inept from the perspective of the record company, since the two EPs made competing with each other have. The author and expert on Beatles Discographies Bruce Spizer assumes that Extracts from the Album A Hard Day 's Night actually until the end of December 1964 came on the market. This is also suggested that the first listing in the British EP charts took place on January 7, 1965. The EP debuted at number 11 in the EP charts, the best result was 7th place Overall held Extracts from the Album A Hard Day 's Night EP 17 weeks on the charts, including five weeks in the top 10. It was so far the least -selling EP of The Beatles in the UK. Unlike their predecessors succeeded no listing in the UK singles charts.
The cover was a variation of the cover of the album A Hard Day 's Night.

For the second time, the record company operated the album A Hard Day 's Night, to fill an EP. The pieces all came from page 2 of the album, where there were the songs that had not been used for the movie Yeah Yeah Yeah. All compositions are by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

Reissues
