Fabian Schär

Fabian Schär (born 20 December 1991 in Wil SG ) is a Swiss football player who currently plays for FC Basel in defense. He's Right. At the 2012 Olympics he figured in the Swiss national team.

Career

Association

He played in the youth in the junior clubs of FC Wil. His debut in the Challenge League he gave on 29 November 2009 against Stade Nyonnais. He was 17 years old. The match ends 0-0. At FC Wil, he was summoned 52 times, scoring 9 goals as a central defender. His first goal he scored 30 October 2010 against Yverdon-Sport.

On 4 July 2012, the Basel FC announced the signing of warping. He signed a three-year contract until 30 June 2015 with a one-year option. His Super League debut for FC Basel on September 29, 2012, he gave away in the 1-1 draw against Pontaise Lausanne-Sport.
