FAGE (Greek ΦΑΓΕ ) is an Athenian dairy, which is internationally known for Greek yogurt.

History

The dairy was founded in 1926 in the area of ​​Athens Patissia and started in 1954, to specialize in yoghurt. With the opening of new facilities in Metamorfosi the total yogurt was introduced in 1974, which is also exported since 1981. This is now available in all European countries. Since 1993, FAGE sold again milk and cheese, but only on the Greek market.

After the sale of the total yogurt exceeded 2000 tons annually in the U.S., in 2008 in Johnstown, New York opened a second dairy and designed for a production of 12,000 tons. The production has now increased to 45,000 tons
