Fatmire Alushi (2011)

Fatmire "Lira" Alushi, born Fatmire Bajramaj, ( born April 1, 1988 in Istog, Yugoslavia ) is a German football player of Albanian descent. The midfielder and striker is part of the Germany squad. In the Bundesliga, she plays since 2011 for the 1st FFC Frankfurt.

Life

Alushi was born as the second child of an automotive mechanic and a housewife. She has an older and a younger brother. The family lived in the village Đurakovac, located near the town of Peć. Kosovo was at the time an autonomous province of the Yugoslav Republic of Serbia. As part of the anti-bureaucratic revolution of the autonomy status in 1989 was repealed.
