FC Bayern Alzenau

FC Bayern Alzenau ( officially: . Football club Bayern Alzenau / Ufr 1920 eV) is a football club from Alzenau and belongs to the Hessian Football Association.

History

The club was initially founded in 1920 as a football department in gymnastics and sports club Alzenau. After disagreements between the shaft and the Turner South German Football Association football department was redissolved and founded in the spring of 1924 as an independent football club Bayern Alzenau.

Since 1983, the club played mostly in the national league ( first North Bavaria, Hesse later South). The change from the Bavarian in the Hessian league since the 1992/93 season is due to the close proximity to Hesse. Many opposing teams in the higher Hessian Divisions are located in the Rhine -Main region, which also belongs Alzenau. The crews of the E- and F- youth take but still part of the schedule of the Bavarian Football Association.

With the rise in the Oberliga Hessen after two relegation matches the largest ever sporting success was achieved in the club's history in 2005. Bayern Alzenau is thus by Viktoria Aschaffenburg the second Bavarian team that played in the Oberliga Hessen. In the 2008 /09 season Bayern Alzenau was the only Bavarian representative in the designated now as Hesse Hessian highest league football league. As runner-up of Hessen League 2008/ 09 FC Bayern Alzenau rose to the Regionalliga Süd, as the first-placed SC Waldgirmes waived for financial and organizational reasons on the rise. However, after just one year Alzenau rose as Table again in the Hessen League. In the season 2010/11 the team winning the title in the Hessen League and thus the direct promotion back to the Regional succeeded. For the following season included former Bundesliga player Jochen Seitz was committed.
