FC Emmenbrücke
The FC Emmen bridge is a Swiss football club based in Emmen, a municipality in the canton of Lucerne. The club currently playing in the second league interregional, the fifth- highest division in Switzerland.
History
The FC Emmen bridge was founded in 1921 and played over 60 years in various amateur leagues, with modest success. For the 1988/89 season they played for the first time in the National League B. In the NLB relegation round, the club continued to FC Biel -Bienne and Renens FC and managed by the league. A year later, the FC Emmen bridge finished in eighth place in the East Group of the National League B again and prevented the descent into the first league. After the 1991/92 season the club was relegated sporty as the last of the NLB relegation round in the first league off, could, however, remain for another season in the league, because Étoile Sportive FC Malley and the SC train the license for the National League B not was granted. A year later, however, could not be prevented, the descent into the first league.
After the descent of the NLB in the first league debt -plagued Emmen bridge rose to 1999 even as the regional 3rd league. Only in 2002 managed regionally the turn with the rise in the second league. Under a new board Emmenbrücke managed in the 2005/06 season promotion to the newly founded League second interregional. 2007/ 08 gave it a 4-0 away win against FC Wettingen 93 on the penultimate lap even to return to the first league where the FC Emmen bridge, secured the season off on the excellent fourth place. In the same season, was founded under the name " Emmen United" with the neighboring SC Emmen successful performance grouping of the A- to C - juniors.
At the end of the season 2009/2010, which was marked by enormous fixtures technical disadvantages for FC Emmen bridge due to the guest performance of FC Luzern in Gersag Stadium, had the first team in playoff against SC Cham again descend into the second league interregional accept. The second team is currently playing in 3rd league.
