Federico Magallanes

Federico Magallanes ( born August 28, 1976 in Montevideo ) is a former Uruguayan football player.

Association

Forward Pelusa Magallanes began his career as a football player in Uruguay with the CA Peñarol. There he made ​​his debut at the age of 18 years under coach Gregorio Pérez won 3-0 in the game against Progreso in the Primera División. In 1996, he joined the Italian club Atalanta. Already 22 days after his arrival at the club the coach was replaced by Guus Hiddink. At Real Madrid Magallanes, however, was not used, and in January 1999 he moved on loan to Racing Santander. There, he scored one goal in 19 games. The Spaniards, however, there was initially no interest in a further loan, so he went back to Uruguay and played at Defensor Sporting. There he was able to convince on the side of players like Marcelo Tejera, Eliomar, Ederson and the beginning of his career standing, young Diego Pérez in 2000 and was a successful scorer with 13 goals and 19 goals in the Apertura, Clausura and Liguilla overall to in that the association be qualified for the Copa Libertadores.
