Fermi motion

The Fermibewegung is the motion of the nucleons (protons and neutrons) within atomic nuclei.

According to the Fermi-gas model of the atomic nuclei move protons and neutrons, taking into account the Pauli principle, freely in a potential well. Its depth is typically 40 MeV. The nucleons take in the nuclear ground state, an energy states typically between -40 and -7 MeV MeV; one can ascribe them so energies up to 33 MeV ( Fermi energy ), which corresponds to a pulse of up to about 250 MeV / c.
